If a heating element is termed as ceramic, it only means that the unit may be constituted of some ceramic but it does not mean that air touches the ceramic material. A few good quality vaporizers using ceramic heating element are Hotbox and Vapor Brothers. Aluminum is also a good heating element and some of the most popular vaporizers use it. As it responds to temperature changes faster than the ceramics, it is more precise than ceramic elements. But many think that it is harmful as exposure to aluminum poses health risks.
